Family time at Linlithgow Loch

February had been a quiet month for us, we had not been really out for a family time.   We were all just busy with our normal routine, work, school and home.  The horrible weather didn’t help either, it only put us off going out.   However, the very last Saturday of February turned out to be sunny for a change, although chilly but it was fairly dry.  So off we went to Linlithgow Loch for some fresh air.

I have lovely memories of Linlithgow Palace, it is one of the first few places I’ve visited when I arrived here in Scotland.  I just love how the Palace sits above the Loch, so stunning with a view to die for.  The walk around the Loch is about 4.3km or 2.3 miles long and takes about an hour.

We had our early weekly shop last Saturday and ended up being at the loose end afterwards, so we thought why not go out for the day to take advantage of the sun as kids started to get bored at home.  Linlithgow Loch came to my mind straight away.  So off we went bringing with us Reimer’s bike and Ruby’s scooter which had been resting for a while in the shed since winter.

When we arrived the place, it was mobbed as expected.  People had the same idea as us trying to enjoy the sun while it’s out I suppose.  We also brought some spare bread at home because for sure kids would love feeding the ducks in the Loch.

We had a wee walk in the Loch, we didn’t manage to walk round it though.  However, it was still great fun, kids still enjoyed being out for the day.  I have to say, it’s always a great delight to spend quality time together as a family.   Family time like this is priceless with memories worth cherishing.

Anyhow, I came across this quote that says it all.
