March had been a slow month for me as I have not been blogging regularly as I normally do. I was busy doing other priorities and I struggled to cope with doing the blog altogether. Apart from that, I lack motivation to blog recently which is why I’m just taking things easy. Anyhow, here’s another month have passed again.
Without further ado, here’s my highlights for the month of March:
- Mother’s Day
I had a surprise present this Mother’s Day. It’s nothing expensive or luxurious and yet it’s the most special gift I ever received since being a mother.
Reimer made me a Mother’s Day card, not one but two. He made one in his class and made another one during his Arts and Crafts club. I felt so emotional reading it because I know he wrote it down from the bottom of his heart. He also made a scented candle wrapped in a gold plastic wrap because he knew candles are some of my favorite things at home.
- Got my first car
I finally got a car… yes my own car! It’s Ford KA 1.3 collection. Until now, it’s still unthinkable that I finally got one I call my own. It’s not a newish car though, it’s a ten year old car which we manage to avail from my husband’s workmates’ wife selling her car to get a new one. We got it at a very reasonable price with only 42,000 miles on the clock which is not bad at all.
It’s not at all fancy I suppose but the purpose of getting car for myself is to practice more with driving on top of the lessons I get once a week with my driving instructor. I think it helps me gain more confidence behind the wheels quicker.
- Passed my test
The main reason why I’m a bit inactive with my blog recently because I had been seriously studying the Highway Code. I had been doing a lot of practice tests every night on both the theory and hazard perception.
Luckily, when I took the test first time this month, I passed with flying colours… I got 50/50 for Theory test and 67/76 for Hazard Perception. I’m so pleased with myself because my effort had paid off. Now I only have the practical test to focus on and pass with it too in the future.
- Parent’s night
22nd March was Parent’s night again at Reimer’s school. Despite of Reimer’s good performance of the previous Parent’s Night, I was still slightly worried as to what he had been up to at school this term.
We were called in by his teacher and went inside their classroom. It was rather short and quick, her teacher didn’t have concerns with him. She showed us his test papers which he have done really well in Math. She also showed us his jotter notes where they were asked to write something about their weekends. It’s funny how kids tells everything whether it’s appropriate or not. Overall, I’m so proud of him, he have really doing great at school.
- Family Time
While Reimer is on school holidays and me being off for a week, we took advantage of having time together again as a family. And what best way to spend it is to go outdoors. This time we head off to Five Sisters Zoo which is not far from where we are.
The kids just love the animals, they like petting them and getting curious about what these animals do. Of course, they like staring at the lions as well that looked rather snobbish. However, I think they enjoyed best being in the big play area and had a few shots with the various rides. I have to say, it was a nice family bonding time again for the 4 of us.
What are your highlights for the month?
