It’s nice to be back again on my highlights of the month post which I missed last month. January was just a busy month for me when we we’re away on holiday for two weeks. I came back struggling to cope with things at home and in my blog as well. Anyhow, here I’m back sharing our highlights for the month of February.
It seems unthinkable that February is finish already. Time definitely flies so quick, whether you’re having fun or not, isn’t it?
- Learning to drive
After a long time thinking about starting to learn to drive, I’ve finally managed to book a driving lesson. Well, actually it was my husband who booked it for me. I started the lessons just this month, although I’m so excited about it but on the other hand, I’m also feeling nervous every time I go out for my lesson. Fingers crossed I will overcome through these nerves eventually as this is not an ideal attitude when driving.
Learning to drive is very advantageous and beneficial on my part especially having kids. I would like to bring them somewhere especially when their Dad is away to work. At the moment, it only remains as a thought as it is just purely difficult and inconvenient to drag kids somewhere not unless we walk or go on public transport.
- First time Co-hosting a linky
I love joining linkys, it’s a great way to know a lot of bloggers. Hosting a linky also came to my mind but at the moment I just don’t have the time to do it. When the lovely Becky of Cuddle Fairy asked me to co-host her Candid Cuddles linky for one Sunday, I grabbed the chance.
It was a fantastic experience co-hosting a linky. It gives me an overview of how it’s done and the work involve with it. I’ll definitely give it a go at some point when the time suits best.
- A present for my friend’s son
I think I have mentioned it on my previous posts about my friend who lives in America. Well, her son just turns 5 this month. So I’ve sent out some presents for her little boy. He was so pleased with it when the package arrived. My friend sent me some photos of him cuddling the box and she also sent me a video of him saying thank you for the presents. I was so touched, it was such a lovely way to show appreciation and gratitude especially from a cute little man like him.
- Saying Good bye to Mr. Potty
Reimer now 5 and Ruby almost 3 had already past the usage of their potty . I can say Mr. Potty had served its purpose well in the family. I’m confident that Ruby is now finally potty trained. The other weekend, both kids waved Goodbye Mr. Potty as we put their potty away to the recycle centre. To me, it was such a total relief!
Being potty trained is a another milestone for kids and I do believe that every parent deserves a pat in the back too for such an achievement.
- Family Time
The very last Saturday of February turned out to be lovely, the sun was shining through brightly although a bit chilly but it was totally dry. Having done our shopping for the week slightly early that day. We then decided to go out for a drive and went to Linlithgow Loch.
The kids had a fabulous time with their bike and scooter as we placed it in the boot of the car with us. They enjoyed cruising it through the side of the Loch. They also had the pleasure of feeding the ducks with the spare bread at home that we brought with us as well.
It was definitely a beautiful time with family.
Have you done something nice for the month of February? Please share on your comments too.
