Yesterday afternoon, the Postman came knocking at the door and when I opened it, he handed me a parcel from USA. Actually, it came from a very good friend of mine who now lives in America whom I’ve known for around 15 years. That’s how long our friendship have grown which I didn’t really realize until now while writing this blog. In spite of her living in a totally different continent as me, we both still try to communicate regularly with each other. I suppose I should be thankful for the social media networks for that convenience they provide. I must admit, she’s the kind of friend everyone wished to have.
Tell me I’m cheeky and a bit presumptuous if I say I’m sort of expecting the parcel to arrive because she always sends gifts for my little kiddies’ birthdays. Hence, I let Reimer open the parcel because I suspect it was for him considering he just celebrated his birthday.
He’s too eager and can’t wait to put his hands into it. There’s a blue Wrangler polo shirt for him which he likes because it’s his favorite color. He also got an Autobot Hound Transformer Toy and a little Minion Mega Bloks. He was overly happy and excited seeing loads of nice stuff inside it.
Aside from the gifts for him, there’s also another item inside the parcel which is for my little lady, Ruby. It’s 2 pairs of pink Garanimals socks. They will definitely look cute on her feet once she will use it. Finally, it’s not just the kiddies got their surprise, of course there’s one for mummy too. She also enclosed a box of Bigelow Spiced Chai Black Tea for me. I’m so overjoyed because this tea is not even available in the local shops here in the UK. It was her who have introduced me to this tea before and since then, it became one of my favorites.
Aside from the parcel he received yesterday, he also got a few presents from my other friends whom we visited when we went to Legoland. On top of that, a close family friend of ours also gave him some lovely presents when we returned home after the weekend away.
Well, I have to say, these summed up his 5th birthday and made him absolutely happy as a Larry.
