I can’t believe days go by so quick just like a snap of one’s finger. It’s Thursday again which means linked up day with Heledd over at Running in Lavender
My Captured Moment for this week is a photo of me and Reimer when he was still a baby. He was around 3 months that time when we went to Blackpool as his first trip away from home.
I don’t know why we chose to visit Blackpool that time when it’s not really very ideal for babies. I recalled we were invited by family friends who went with us too. However, it was nice to be away somewhere after being stuck in the house for a couple of weeks recovering from c-section. So, we drove drown, stayed in the hotel and visited Blackpool for the first time. Well, my first time of course!
What we did in Blackpool?
One of Blackpool’s main attraction is the Pleasure Beach. If you’re a thrill seeker, this one is for you. My husband is and without hesitation, he plunged himself to the iconic Pepsi Max roller coaster. I would have liked to try on it but I was rather scared with the height. Just as well, I didn’t get on it or I probably would have screamed my head off. Apart from enjoying a few rides in the park, we also wandered around the promenade especially at night time when the Ocean Boulevard got all lively, vibrant and entertaining.
Best of all, the trip won’t be complete without having to see the Blackpool’s world-famous northern lights known as the Blackpool Illuminations, which runs from September til November during the Autumn Season.
Overall, it was a great short trip to Blackpool. Although Reimer won’t remember it yet, but it was a good memory to tell when he’s bigger.
Have you been to very popular Blackpool?
