As the clock goes back an hour last Sunday, it signals the move into Autumn and Winter Season. Unfortunately, it also means that the British Summer Time has ended. Has everyone prepped up already for the start of cold, dark and probably snowy days?
Before I’ll get too swayed with these Winter dilemma, I would like to recall Our Favourite Five for the month of October first before anything else.
1. Family Time
First week of the October, when we had a great night adventure in The Enchanted Forest in Pitlochry, where we enjoyed and got fascinated with the beauty of the forest that came out so magical with the lights and sound effects in it. That was definitely a lovely family night out and I would like to do it sometime again.
2. My Eyeglasses
This month is my routine eye check up again. I hate the thought of having my eyes checked as I find it so complicated, but I need to have it done as I think there will be a change in my vision again after it was last checked two years ago. I went to Vision Express and yes my eye prescription has increased dramatically. After two weeks, I got my eyeglasses back with new lens in it and I was surprisingly shocked how everything looked like in Ultra HD 4K resolution.
3. My new Blog theme
Some of you may have noticed that I have changed a new theme/template on my blog. What prompted me to do so because I dared try checking how a stranger reviews my blog through Peek User. I’ve got some positive as well as negative first impressions and comments about my blog which I took it as a constructive criticism to improve my blog on a reader’s point of view. So far, I’m happy with the theme I’ve chosen and I would like to think it’s an improvement of my previous one. Well, if you’re a blogger, you can give it a go too… Good Luck!
4. Parent’s Night
Last 15th of October was Reimer’s Parent’s Night in School. We were initially a bit worried about it as we thought the Teacher will tell us more negative things over the positive ones. However, we were absolutely wrong! We’re so proud of how he improved academically and behaved well in school.
Last weekend, we finally bought the Halloween costume for my two kids as they are overly excited about it. We found a matching costume for both of them, a Batman for Reimer and a Batgirl for Ruby. Reimer adored his Batman costume, while Ruby seem not too keen on hers. She prefers the Elsa or Anna costume but I find the Batgirl one so gorgeous and I think she would look cute on it. Despite of it, I still bought an Anna costume for her because she always likes to role play at home and pretend like a princess. So, they both all set for tomorrow’s trick or treat.
How about you what are the favourite things you’ve done for this month?
