Who exactly is a DAD? They say anybody can be a Father, but it takes a real man to be a Dad… For me, to Father a child is not enough for him to be called a Dad, he has to wholeheartedly embrace parental responsibility and selflessly raise a child in all aspects of life.
This quote says a lot about being a Dad… To the two Daddy’s in my life, my Papa who is in Philippines, who have done his best to be a great Father and Papa to me and my brother. We become what we become because of your utmost support and help as we’re growing up, we owe it all to you. Also, to my husband who is an amazing Father and Dad to Reimer and Ruby. Happy Father’s Day to both of you and to all the Daddy’s out there…
To my husband, as a tribute to this beautiful day of fatherhood, I would like to say….. Thank you!
Thank you for doing your best to become the greatest Daddy to our kids.
Thank you for braving yourself into doing parental responsibilities from the day the kids were born, giving them their First Baby Bath was one of them. I’m so glad you did it because I was so petrified then to do it myself.
Thank you for providing the kids with every needs and wants in their everyday lives.
Thank you for being strict, firm and for scolding or telling them off when their behavior is unacceptable and needs to be disciplined.
Thank you for comforting them and soothing them when they’re upset or hurt.
Thank you for being an all around handyman for fixing and assembling their toys and almost everything at home that calls to be mended.
Thank you for encouraging them to do things out of their comfort zone which made them bold, tough and fearless little kids.
Thank you for infusing in them the love of travel, the way you shared it to me. Consequently, the holidays we’ve been and the places we’ve explored since they were babies definitely brings some great memories in their childhood.
Thank you for all the tickles, snuggles, cuddles and kisses you’ve given them which made them feel your affection and caring ways . The tickles on the other hand creates a funny giggling noise at home which is so pleasing to the ears.
Thank you for the undying patience which you have tried your best to achieve.
Most importantly, I thank you for the unconditional love you’ve continuously showered on us… life is so much brighter and lovelier with you around. One day is not enough to honor you and to show how grateful we truly are to have you because you are wonderfully amazing every single day of the year.
Needless to say, the kids had a special gift for their Dad today too through my financial help. We will also be going out for dinner later as well in the same restaurant as last year’s Daddy’s Day. He loved the place, so it’s just right that we’ll treat him to a restaurant that he choose and love the most.
Update: Photo of his well-deserved meal on my Instagram, of course it has to be a steak for Daddy’s day.
How did you pay tribute to Father’s day?
Did you treat Daddy for a nice meal?
